Singleton
Skip bin hire in Singleton
Singleton is a town with two clocks: the mines and the army base. Both mean people arriving and leaving on postings and rosters, which makes it one of the highest-turnover housing markets in the Hunter, and turnover is what fills skip bins.
What Singleton jobs look like
Moving in and moving out. Postings to the barracks and roster changes at the mines mean houses change hands or tenants constantly, and every one of those is a garage, a shed and a yard that needs emptying to a date somebody else chose.
The other half is space. Blocks out through Hunterview, Gowrie and the rural roads are big, and big blocks collect: old fencing, water tanks, farm rubbish, timber and a great deal of green waste. Renovation work is steadier here than seasonal.

Where the bin can sit in Singleton
Space is rarely the problem. Most Singleton blocks have a driveway wide enough for the truck and room beside the house as well, and the newer estates at Hunterview and Singleton Heights are straightforward. On rural properties it comes down to the driveway itself: gravel is fine dry and soft wet, and cattle grids and gateways set the width.
Singleton is the furthest west we run regularly apart from Muswellbrook, so a bit more notice helps, particularly if you want the bin gone by a set date.
Council approval
A bin on the road or the footpath is Singleton Council's to approve, on their process and their timeframe. Check with them before you settle on a delivery day. On your own property there is nobody to ask.

Singleton questions
Which council do I deal with in Singleton?
Singleton Council, which covers the town and the rural areas around it out to Broke, Bulga and Jerrys Plains. Their approval only comes into it if the bin sits on public land.
Can you work to a posting or settlement date?
Tell us the date when you enquire and we will tell you straight away whether it works, rather than after you have booked. Fixed dates are normal here and they are much easier to plan for than to rescue.
What size for clearing out a shed?
A single garage is often a 4m³ and a decent farm shed can be a 6m³ or more. If there is a lot of old fencing and vegetation, splitting it into a mixed bin and a green bin usually works out better.
Do you deliver to the rural properties?
Yes. Describe the driveway when you enquire: length, surface, gates and any low branches. Those decide whether the truck can get in, more than the distance from town does.
Is there anything to know about mine-site work?
Site rubbish is a trade waste job and we are happy to quote it, but induction and site access requirements are yours rather than ours. Mention them up front so nobody is held up at a gate.
