Privacy policy

What happens to your name, number and address when you send us an enquiry. Short version: we use it to answer you, and nothing else.

Last updated 21 August 2026

1. Who this policy is for

This policy covers Hunter Skips and this website. It explains what we do with the information you give us when you enquire about a skip bin, and what we do not do with it.

It is written to be read rather than to be impressive. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it in plain terms.

2. What we collect

Only what the enquiry form asks for, and whatever you choose to tell us. The form has these fields:

  • Your name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address
  • Your suburb
  • The bin size you want, if you know it
  • The type of waste
  • Your preferred date
  • A description of the job, in your own words

If you call instead, we take the same details by phone. We do not ask for a date of birth, an address beyond your suburb, or any payment details through this website.

Our web server records standard technical information when a page is requested, such as the IP address making the request. That is how the internet works rather than something we collect deliberately, and we do not use it to identify anyone.

3. Why we collect it

To answer your enquiry and quote your job. That is the whole purpose. We need your suburb to work out whether we deliver there and what the run costs, the waste type and description to size the bin correctly, and your phone or email to come back to you with an answer.

We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not sell or rent your details to anyone, and we do not pass them to other operators as a lead. If we ever wanted to email you about anything other than your enquiry, we would ask you first.

4. Who else sees it

As few people as possible, and no more than the job requires.

  • Web3Forms, the service that delivers the form submission to us by email. Your submission passes through their system on the way to our inbox.
  • Our email provider, which stores the enquiry in our inbox the same way it stores any other email.
  • Our own staff, where they need it to quote or carry out the job.

We do not share your details with anyone else unless you ask us to, or unless we are required to by law.

5. Cookies and analytics

This website does not set cookies and does not run analytics or advertising trackers. There is nothing following you around, and there is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

If that changes we will say so on this page before it does, and we will explain what is being collected and how to turn it off.

6. How long we keep it

No longer than we need it. An enquiry that turns into a job is kept while the job runs and for as long as we need it for our records afterwards. An enquiry that goes nowhere does not need keeping indefinitely.

If you want your details deleted sooner, ask us and we will do it, unless there is a specific reason we have to keep them.

7. Seeing, correcting or deleting your information

Email us at hello@hunterskips.com.au or call (02) 4900 0000 and tell us what you want. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct something that is wrong, or ask us to delete it.

We will not charge you for asking, and we will not make it difficult.

8. If you are not happy with how we handled it

Tell us first, because most things are a misunderstanding and we would rather fix it than have you chase it. If we cannot sort it out between us, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, the federal body that handles privacy complaints.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will change this page and update the date at the top of it. We will not make a change quietly and hope nobody notices.
