Each waste type travels in its own bin
Four streams, each handled and charged differently. Most jobs are one stream and one bin: a mixed renovation load takes the timber, the plasterboard, the old fittings and the tiles together. Where a job throws up a real volume of heavy material or clean green waste as well, that is when a second bin is worth it.

Three things worth knowing
Weight matters more than volume
Every bin has a weight limit, and heavy material reaches it long before the bin looks full.
- Soil, brick, tile and concrete go in a smaller bin loaded to its limit, not a big bin loaded halfway
- Mixing heavy material into a general waste bin is the most common cause of an unexpected charge
- Tell us what is going in and we will size it on the weight, not just the volume
Where the bin can sit
- Your own driveway, lawn or hardstand is straightforward
- The truck needs clear access to drop the bin off and pick it up again, so check for low branches, narrow gates and soft ground before the day
- A bin on the road or the footpath usually needs council approval, and the rules are not the same across the Hunter, so check with your own council before you book
